Der Tagesspiegel was originally a major German newspaper that has grown into a multi-channel media company providing the most current world news to thousands of readers daily.
Tagesspiegel utilized a light map style that lets their data pop up. This clean map was aptly customized to fit the housing story for international readers.
All labels are displayed either in German or English language based on the audience’s preference. All street labels and points of interest were removed to help readers better navigate around the map.
Foreclosures of apartments in Athens are displayed in responsive, eye-catching design. Readers’ involvement is enhanced by interactivity, color coding of data, clickable & zoomable map features.
Major German daily newspaper partnered up with MapTiler on project Cities for Rent:
investigating Corporate Landlords across Europe.
Better user experience, smooth zooming and fast map loading is possible thanks to vector tile technology.
Maps can be hosted and served locally, or from MapTiler Cloud’s reliable global infrastructure.
