We count a session as a page load with map initialization.
The Map Session allows for unlimited interaction with the map, while a Weather Session is counted for adding the weather forecast to the map.
Map Session includes usage of:
- all base map tiles
- customer-hosted tiles (vector or rasters)
- 3D terrain tiles (tilt limited to 65 Degrees)
Tile requests are used to bill for usage of our maps with third-party SDKs. Tile requests are generated as users load different parts of the map during interact (panning & zooming).
Your usage statistics are available in the Analytics section of your MapTiler Cloud account.
On a FREE plan service will pause until the next month.
On FLEX and UNLIMITED plans, you will receive retroactive overuse charges for additional usage. You can set a budget & spending limit, to control costs.
For CUSTOM plans there is only a soft limit on your usage. If your usage significantly exceeds your plan, we will contact you.
Discounts are available with pre-paid Custom plans, charged on an annual or quarterly basis.
On a FREE plan, service pauses until the next month if you use all your requests.
FLEX and UNLIMITED plans can be purchased online with a credit card or PayPal. Overage charges are automatically sent at the end of each billing period.
The CUSTOM plan can be purchased via a quote & invoice process and paid via bank transfer
No! With MapTiler Cloud, there are no other costs related to using third party JS libraries. We use SDKs and JavaScript APIs which are 100% open-source.
The storage enables you to host your own geodata / tileset and integrate them into your maps.
Data management is made easy in the MapTiler Cloud administration.
The only plan which allows reselling is the CUSTOM plan. Please contact sales for more information.
All MapTiler products include basic (best effort) support. Our support team strives to answer each inquiry personally.
We also offer a paid Premium Support package with guaranteed response times and priority issue resolution.
What is a request?
We charge based on the number of requests, so you pay only for what you use. A single map view usually generates 4 requests if vector tiles are used, or 10-16 requests for raster tiles with 256px size. Try it yourself.
