The GeoCamp unconference in Spain continues to thrive, with attendance growing at every edition. This year’s success was joining forces with SotM (State of the Map) Spain, fostering an exchange of ideas on open data, GIS tools, and collaborative mapping. The event proved essential for networking and further unifying the Spanish-speaking geospatial and OpenStreetMap communities.

The sessions covered a wide array of very interesting topics, from using DuckDB to build a nationwide geocoder for Italy to the latest innovations from MapTiler, including GeoSplats and the MapTiler Open Foundation. Discussions also dived into workflow automation with Airflow and the environmental impact of large data centers.
The event’s true value lies in its ability to bridge a remarkably diverse community. By bringing together everyone from primary school teachers to corporate technicians, and welcoming international participants, the gathering has evolved into a truly global event.

Our sincere thanks to the organization and the sponsors for making this unmissable event possible. See you next year!
