Reliable processing of files into map tiles
Upload files in any format and harness the power of our updated multithread processing to create map tiles in an ultrafast and stable way. This significant improvement in MapTiler Engine 14.1 enables the software to handle both very large individual files and large numbers of smaller ones much more reliably. This means you get results quickly, whatever the format and volume of files you process.
Improved map tiling task management
Loading and saving tasks just got a lot easier! You can now save a task at any point, even while it is still processing.
Tasks will now load even if the file paths to the data are no longer valid; you will be asked to manually update them to new ones.
Enriched task reporting
Based on your feedback, we have made the task report more detailed, including information on Output format, Output coordinate system, Output tile format, Global zoom levels, and whether Retina (512px tiles) were selected.
Easier flow through the interface
We’ve updated the user interface so that the application walks you through the process of creating map tiles, making it much quicker to work with. We’ve also made it easier to navigate to the “My tasks” section, where you can find finished, in-progress, and planned tasks.
This means every element of turning your data into zoomable maps has been simplified and streamlined for faster use.
In addition to this, you can now find source data in the list of files more easily. Simply select them on the map, and the list automatically scrolls to their position!
Update your map tiling experience
MapTiler Engine 14.1 is available for free with your existing subscription. Remember, you need to update to version 14.1 to benefit from these improvements. Users with 14.0.2 or newer get the update automatically, or you can download and install it manually.
