MapTiler QGIS plugin

Simply add basemaps to QGIS desktop from MapTiler Cloud. Customized OpenStreetMap base maps and satellite data ready to use.

Install plugin

The plugin is available in directly in the “Official” QGIS Plugin repository. Installation can be done easily in a few steps.

Sources of the plugin and issue tracking is available in GitHub repository.

  1. Open QGIS application
  2. Click on menu “Plugins” -> “Manage and Install Plugins...”
  3. Search for “maptiler”
  4. Click on “Install Plugin”
  5. Restart QGIS after installation

Print OpenStreetMap as vector map

There is a possibility to export map as SVG or PDF with the Print Composer. This is done with a support of native vector tile rendering in latest build of QGIS.


MapTiler Cloud map service behind

Maps for QGIS are available on MapTiler Cloud platform. Customize look and feel of maps, add your own data and host on reliable infrastructure.

OpenStreetmap data ready to use

The data for background maps are used from OpenStreetMap. The selection and processing is done with our OpenMapTiles project.

Load any map in GL Style JSON or TileJSON

With this plugin you can load any map defined with Mapbox GL Style specification - from a URL you provide.

More raster external sources with link to TileJSON. It is also possible to open maps.
